Bangalore: In current real estate scenario, approval process has huge influence on the project constructions and associated delays. To overcome this issue in Karnataka the state government has taken an initiative to simplify the approval process for the building and projects. The Karnataka state government has passed a bill regarding the building approvals in the Belgaum session of the assembly.Minister of minorities’ welfare Qumar-ul-Islam said that the bill has been submitted in the assembly and new process having a single window clearance will be allowed very soon which will have chief secretary as a head of the single window agency.The decision was taken by considering the market scenario having huge demand from the purchasers and low supply as numerous projects stuck in the approval process as they have to go through many departments and authorities to get the building permissions which creates a huge delay in the building completion. The official announcement in this regard will be issued in the coming January.The major demand for the housing units is originated from the EWS and LIG segments of the society and to lower this demand the earlier government has created about 11 lakh housing units in the past 4.5 years. The government is also considering to built more such houses which will need a single window clearance for immediate construction process.
