New Delhi: Adding to the woes of an already ailing real estate sector, cement prices have been raised by 30 % in all major markets. Now a 50 Kg bag of cement will cost Rs 275. This trend is expected to continue in the upcoming festive season and by then the cost of cement will be raised to Rs 375 per 50 kg bag. Thus houses are to become even dearer and the dream house will probably remain a dream for many. The cement makers themselves are not very glad of the increase of prices and attribute it to the rising cost of raw materials. Due to the continuous rise of prices stocks of well known cement companies like Ultratech, Ambuja and ACC went by 20% since the beginning of the month. Till last month a 50 Kg bag of cement was priced at Rs 210. By next week prices may go up to Rs 300. The demands are however expected to remain sluggish and dealers are despairing over the issue of how to push up sales.Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) suspects that there is a cement cartel in action somewhere. CREDAI will be filing a complaint with the Competition Commission of India, the competition watchdog of the country if the price of cement continues to rise.CREDAI Chairman Lalit Kumar Jain said that since cement prices have rose from Rs 210 to Rs 275 it is likely that it will also rise to Rs 325 in the near future. A hike of Rs 50 per bag of cement means a hike of Rs 25 per sq ft of construction. This will ultimately be burdening the consumer. The cement prices this month has crossed all limits and is over compensating for the correction that was witnessed during the months of monsoon. If the prices will rise any further, it will seriously affect the demand of real estate in this slow state of economy.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
