Mumbai Sells Flat For a Record Amount of Rs 57 Crore

costly-flatMumbai: The Mumbai real estate market seems to be inclined on breaking its own records time and time again, especially in the luxury housing segment. Recently an apartment has been sold for Rs 57 crore. This has been the costliest apartment to be sold in Mumbai till date. It is a sea facing duplex in a Malabar Hill building. The apartment costs around Rs 1.35 lakh per sq ft.The duplex is situated on Mount Pleasant Road in Darshan Apartments. Last month the duplex was bought by the prominent business family of the Bulchandanis. The Bulchandanis have a strong presence in the real estate, software and aluminum industries. They also own three other duplexes in the complex concerned. The duplex covers the 9th, 10th and 11th floor of the A wing of the complex. It consists of four bedrooms and attached terraces which are on the 11th and 12th floors. The rooms cover 3,510 sq ft while the terraces cover 1,386 sq ft of space. There is also a covered garage of 100 sq ft.The flat was formerly owned by the Sarabhai sisters, namely Mana and Shyama. Their uncle was the illustrious Vikram Sarabhai, who was the founder of the Indian Space Programme. The 6,752 sq mt plot on which the Malabar Hill Cooperative Housing Society is situated originally belonged to their father Gautam Sarabhai. The society bought the property in 1971. Darshan Apartments was the first residential apartment to have duplex constructed in it. There are 42 flats in the complex that offer a view of the Arabian. This transaction overshadows the Borosil’s record of buying a flat in Samudra Mahal in Worli for Rs 21 crore. This however does not reflect the general trend of the Mumbai real estate market. Apart from such premium apartments, demand for luxury and high end properties is pretty low in Mumbai at present. займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
