DDA to Make Green Norms Mandatory for Houses over 3,000 Sq Mt

grn-buildingsNew Delhi: According to the proposed Master Plan 2021 green norms will be made compulsory for the construction of homes on acquired land. However green norms will not be applicable to plots smaller than 3000 sq mt. Any plot above 3,000 sq mt will require to abide by the green norms. The original Master Plan 2021 does not include any clause that makes green norms mandatory for buildings. But in the new amendment some regulations will be changed. This is because many studies have indicated that green buildings may be the solution to the power and water shortage faced by India. Green buildings consume much less power and water than other buildings and may contribute significantly towards conserving India’s power sources. Therefore the DDA has decided to implement the green norms as mandatory in the amendment of the Master Plan 2021 and anyone violating the norm will be imposed with a heavy penalty by the authorities. The suggestion for the amendment of the Master Plan 2021 to include the application of green norms came up in the meeting of the Master Plan 2021 advisory group. Green buildings are rated on the basis of water and power consumed by them. Measurement is made on the basis of production of waste water and recycling of wasted water. The water can be recycled to wash vehicles or to water plants in the gardens. The modification of the plan also suggests the implementation of solar power system on roof area of 300 sq mt and provisions for rain water harvesting. займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
