Wonderla in Bangalore – A Theme Park Full of Pleasant Surprises

Bangalore is a popular metro city of India. This garden city has many popular tourists spots including gardens, architectural monuments, museums, amusement parks, etc. let me take you to one such spots which is known as Wonderla Theme Park. It is an amusement park and one of the most favourite of kids. Lots of thrills, challenges and on top of that lots of enjoyment for one and all. The Wonderla Theme Park is situated just twenty eight kilometres (28km) from the city of Bangalorenear Bidadi.  It has been established in October 2005 by V-Guard Industries Ltd which has its base at Cochin in Kerala. This one is the second project of amusement parks by the company.  The total area covered by this amazing fun park is about 82 acres which means 33 hectares of land. It took more than hundred and five crore (105 cr.) to materialise the plan of setting up such a theme park in Bangalore and now it is fully functional and catching crowd of thousands. If you love surprises this place is for you as you will be upside down when you will come out at the end. It has all the elements to make your day memorable like thrill, fear, laughter and fun.Let me explain a bit about this amusement park. This park is basically divided into two main parts. Among which one is dry rides while the other is wet rides. The total number of rides installed in the Wonderla amusement park is 53 which include both, dry as well as water based rides. The special discotheque here guarantees you for a lots of fun as an electronically controlled rain shower is being installed here for an unusual experience.  Kids are not forgotten in this park as there are some specifically designed rides are installed keeping in mind the tender age of small kids and their safety. The kiddies free fall ride is scary to hear but very gentle and full of fun for those little one who couldn’t get into major rides. The water is solar heated in the pools during winters in order to maintain the temperature. The scary house is enough to raise goose bumps on the skin of any strong hearted person. Ant hill and crazy car are some other high lights of the park. Wonder splash is one of the most popular rides among all.There are lots of facilities available in the park to make you visit safe, secure, comfortable and enjoyable. It has a conference facility with a capacity of thousand persons, five fine dining restaurants with 1150 seating capacity, safe locker rooms having 2350 individual lockers. Apart from these restrooms on adequate distances, shower room facilities and a first aid facility & paging system are there. If you talk about safety then you should know that it has implemented OHSAS 18001:2007 safety standards to avoid mishaps. If you are visiting this park then you should not worry about the hygiene because it has five water treatment plants for recycling and filtering all the water used here. it is not enough as Wonderla also set up a laboratory in order to monitor the water quality levels used for any purpose in the park.You can call it a green eco friendly Amusement park because they have planted more than 2000 trees in order to provide natural shading to its visitors. They have rain water harvesting system, solar water heating system for pool and kitchen. They have a two crore litre storage capacity to collect rain water. They also have their own research and development team who design and manufacture rides for in house usage. There is only one mishap has recorded since the inception of this park. A twelve year old girl died on 27th February 2012 because of drowning in a pool at this park.
