Initiatives taken by the Airport Authority (AAI) of India has resulted in formulating plans to expand the Chennai Airport. This project titled ‘WINGS’ is the outcome of the efforts put in by the AAI.The Airport extension will assume a hovering shape like that of the wings, with a grand entrance to welcome the passengers. With 152 check-in counters, 10 self check counters and 10 hand baggage counters, Chennai Airport will see a massive expansion in the amenities rendered.Plans to modernize and enlarge the Airport will transform the existing look and feel of this popular landmark of Chennai.
