The name of this place is Saputara situated just few kilometres away from the Gujarat Maharashtra border line. It is a hill station or I should say the only hill station in the state of Gujarat located in Dang district of Gujarat in the Southern part of the state. this only hill station of Gujarat at a height of 1000 feet has everything that one can imagine from dense woods, lakes, waterfalls, gardens, natural surroundings to rope way. Here you can spot tiger, leopard, pangolin, Rusty Spotted Cat, python, giant squirrel, four horned antelope, etc. it was previously a personal forest area of King of Vansda but later on converted into a wild life park. You need to take permission in advance from Chief Wild Life Warden before making the visit. Another sanctuary here is Purna Sanctuary spread on 160 sq km of area at a distance of 60 km from Dang in the dense moist deciduous forest area of Western Ghat of state of Gujarat. It is a good place for trekking enthusiasts.
