Natasha’s lifetime dream was to own a house of her own. She wanted to live in it with her husband and two kids. After starting a family they lived for a few years in a rented house and after that bought a small 1200 sq ft apartment in a very convenient location in the city. Though it was place of her own, Natasha didn’t like the 2BHK flat and aspired for a bigger house. She found her house always too cramped, too small for her two kids to grow up in and too small for her dreams. She saved for over 15 years and built a lavish three story house in the city outskirts. The big house was just what she wanted with more space, more light and more room to do whatever you like. But by that time her kids had grown up and moved out and she realized for the first time what an immense amount of time and energy is required clean and maintain such a monster of a place.Everybody’s story has not got to end in the same way. Some people love moving into a big house from a smaller one. Some who had grown up in a big house find it next to impossible to live in a small house. But if you are free from such predetermined feelings which one should you prefer a bigger or a smaller house? People may want a big house if:
- They have a big family
- They simply can’t think small
- They have money with which they do not know what to do (still they will not give for charity)
- They want to show off
Often while living in a big city with mindboggling property prices you do not have any other than to buy a smaller house. But there are some immense advantages of a small house if you know how to live right.Saves Money: A smaller house will definitely cost less. It will not only be less expensive when you buy it but also cost you less in terms of power usage, water usage, insurance, tax, maintenance, cooling, décor etc. If you are buying the house on a bank loan then you will also be paying lower EMIs.Saves Time: Suppose you have a two story house and your kitchen is on the ground floor while you are busy doing something on the first floor. If at that moment you also have something on the stove in the process of being cooked either you will be running up and down the stairs checking on it every five minutes or you have to stay in the kitchen till it is done or have to be extremely energetic. This exercise is fine if you are trying to lose weight but in any other case it is simply not worth the trouble and the waste of time.Less Cleaning: In a small house there will apparently be less cleaning to do. Less space is always not a bad thing. Most men will not understand the point but all women will because they are the ones who are stuck with the cleaning of the house.Curbs Useless Spending: Take the case of Natasha once more. Her small house felt cramped because she never stopped buying. First she bought a small cabinet and then a big TV cabinet. Then a couple of bean bags though they already had a big sofa set. A small house demands that you think twice before you buy anything. And to live happily not too many possessions are actually needed. In a small house you can have everything you need and still have enough space to live in comfortably. A small house actually encourages you to cut down on consumerism and think creatively. Since storage is an issue, you throw away or give away things you do not need thus riding yourself of baggage.Frees Your Mind: You may have always thought that a bigger space gives you more opportunity to free your mind. But a bigger space actually takes up so much of your time (and in some cases, finances) that you have none left to free your mind. A smaller house rids you of the “worrying about house” factor and frees your mind from at least one care.More Time for Other Things: As you devote less time to house maintenance, cleaning and other things you gain more time to be with your partner, your children, your job, your hobbies or just going into a coma in front of the TV. In short anything that you want to do more than house cleaning.Less Decorating: Maybe you thought that a big house will give you more scope for interior décor. If you will be hiring a professional for that it will be an added expense. If you will be plunging into it all by yourself you will be having quite a tough time. Beautiful home décor and DIY home décor can also be done in a small home. You need the aesthetic sense for it. And it will be a far more manageable project if not anything else.Less Environmental Impact: A smaller house has a smaller environmental impact. It takes up a smaller space, takes lesser construction time and material, and uses less resources and energy.Easier to Sell Off: A smaller house will be more affordable to most people. Many people can only buy a small house when they are just starting out their lives and there are always more average income people than rich ones. So a small house has a wider market and hence easier to sell off.Helps in Family Bonding: In a smaller house you cannot avoid things. You have to resolve fights fast, you know what you partner is doing in the next room, at dinner time the family has to come together, you need only one TV and no one can storm out in a middle of a conversation. Small space brings people together. So do not regret that your children are growing up in a small space. Sometimes their best childhood memory will be a birthday bash with all friends and family cramped in a small living room with joyous laughter and merrymaking in the background.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
