S.B. Road stands for Senapati Bapat Road. This road starts at Law College road junction and ends at Pune University Circle on the Ganesh Khind road. This road passes its way through a tiny mountain that is called a khind in Marathi.A very important religious structure lies on this road named the Chaturshingi Devi Temple that is situated on a mountain and can be approached by stairs. Annual Street fair is held near the venue.Other important structures include Maharashtra’s first Shananurao Kirloskar International Convention Centre (ICC) and Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM). One Buddhist Pagoda is also created on the side of this road that is quite an attraction. Apart from these a memorial of Baba Saheb Ambedkar is also located on this road.There are some big IT companies; big infrastructures are also situated on this road. SunGard, BMC Software, Persistent, T-Systems, Bitwise Solutions Pvt.Ltd, etc are among them. The road shines in the night and seems like Marine Drive of Mumbai when all street lamps are on. The Audi showroom is also located on this road.Posh residential colonies are there behind the roads.
