Pune: If you are paying the property tax before this month (May 31) then PMC will avail you discount on that. The Pune Municipal Corporation had decided to keep awake the property tax payment facilities even on weekends to reduce the rush and ease the availing of discounts this month. The tax discount scheme is alive for the people who will pay the tax before May 31. There is 10% discount on the amount of Rs 25,000 or less and 5% above 25,001.A press release by PMC announced that the tax payment can be made at collection centres in ward office as well as citizen facilitation centre in PMC’s HQ in Shivajinagar. On holidays there centres will remain open from 10 am to 2 pm.The attractive schemes have been made practical by the authority in a move to make more and more citizens come forward and pay the taxes on time.
