The brighter version can cool down a hot room scheme.• To make a small room look larger one should use pale yellow colour because it is highly reflective.• To make a long, narrow area look wider a pale cool colour like pale green can be used.• To make a large area cosy and warm, use a warm colour like deep terracotta.• To make long floor area look bigger neutral colours should be used like beige, wood etc.• To hide ugly feature paint it with the same colour as the background on the other hand to make an interesting feature stand out paint it with a pale colour. For example pink will stand out against dark green and white will stand out against navy.• To warm up a cold north facing room use warm colours while to cool down a sunny room use cool colours keeping in mind the size of the room.
