*What is a PAN Card?PAN Card or a Permanent Account Number Cars is a unique combination of numbers and letters issued by the Indian Income Tax Department to all the identifiable juristic entities under the Income Tax Act 1961. The 5th character of a PAN card is the first character:• Surname or the last name, if the 4th character is ‘P’.• Name of an Entity/Trust/Society/Organization/Company/AOP/BOI/Firm, if the 4th character is any one of the above listed characters except ‘P’.The next four characters are a combination of numbers ranging from 0001 to 9999.The last character of the Pan Card number is an alphabetic check digit.*Benefits/Purpose/Uses of owning a PAN card:The purpose of having a PAN card is as follows:
