Panaji: With almost all the cities across the nation taken up by the online storm, Goa is next up in line to get its very own web based land record system called ‘Dharnaksh’. ‘Dharnaksh’ is a compounding term derived from two Sanskrit words namely ‘Dharni’ (land) and ‘Naksh’ (map). This new system will facilitate easy viewing of properties across the city. ‘Dharnaksh’, a system devised to allow live viewing of property, is a positive step towards effective management of land recording systems. Printouts of the authorized properties will be made available after payment. Moreover citizens can collect the certified copies from the respective land record offices only after paying a prescribed amount through online modes of payment. The actual layout of the property can be viewed with the help of ‘Dharnaksh’. Apart from this, information on the property ownership, survey number, area will also be made available with launch of this new system. The Government has roped in the Goa Electronics Limited for assistance. Data collection for ‘Dharnaksh’ is in full swing with hard copies of the Government land records already under assessment.

Thats a great job done by Goa government.I suggest all the cities must follow this.
