The 10 day fest is coming to an end, now it’s time to bid farewell to our beloved Ganpati who is returning back home. With colors flying in air, beats of dhol-tasha( traditional music), dance, slogan like ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya! Pudchya Varshi Lavkar Yaa!’(Hail lord Ganpati, come again early next year), people are all set to immerse the god. Many big and small Ganesh pandals form a queue on the streets of Maharashtra on Anant Chaturdashi (last day of Ganesh festival). The streets get jam-packed with the spectators who come down to see the beautifully decorated procession. Ganesh Chaturthi is observed in almost all the parts of the country but the fervor which you can see in Maharashtra is just inimitable. The full immersion procession is filled with joy and enthusiasm.Ganpati Visarjan is incomplete without the musical clamor of Dhol-tasha, especially in Pune and Nasik. The beats of Dhol-tasha are so intense that it almost brings Goosebumps. All the respected Ganesh pandals beautifully adorn the chariots with flowers, lights and other decorations, place the Ganesh and take the procession. Apart from the Sarvajanik Ganesh Mandals (public Ganesh pandals) even household Ganpati immersion is done on Anant Chaturdashi. Ganesh Visarjan takes place on 1 and half day, 3rd, 5th, 7th or 10th day during the Ganesh festival. Usually the pandals perform immersion on the 10th day that is on Anant Chaturdashi. All the major Pandals start the procession by 12 in noon. Some processions continue till next day morning. Usually the idol is immersed in any nearby water body like river, beach, canal or artificial ponds. Artificial ponds are best as they save the public water from getting contaminated.
Rituals to perform before the immersion:Here are some common rituals which are performed before the immersion of household Lord Ganesh:
- Before the immersion, the family members should offer Uttarang puja which includes offering oil lamps, flowers, dhoop(incense), fragrance and naivedya.
- Perform aarti at home with all the family members.
- Thank the god who came to your home and brought prosperity and auspiciousness.
- Request the god to forgive if you were not able to take care of him properly or if you committed any mistakes unintentionally during his stay.
- After the final prayer, take the idol to every corner of your home.
- Sprinkle some water on the idol and take him for immersion.
- Once you lift the idol, do not place it in home.
Attractions of Ganpati Visarjan in Pune, 2013:Like every year the procession will start with Maanache Paach (revered 5 Ganpati Pandals) of Pune which will be followed by other major Pandals. This year with respect to over-crowding, each of the prominent 5 pandals will have three groups, two of Dhol-tasha and one band troupe. Each troupe will have around 100 members who will be playing dhol, tasha, zhanzha and other musical instruments. Naad Brahmha, Shiva Garjana, Shiva Mudra, Raman Baug are some of the famous Dhol-tasha troupes. The pandals which start their immersion procession during evenings generally prefer loudspeakers. This year the most favorite track among all the pathaks is Lungi Dance from Chennai Express.Gear up yourself for the spectacular send-off party of the elephant-faced god. The whole Visarjan procession is just stunning and filled with joy but the time when you immerse the idol certainly brings tears in your eyes, you feel as if you are departing from your family member.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
