Earth House Estate Lättenstrasse in Dietikon, a stunning project by Peter Vetsch is an eco-friendly residential venture that has been built into the ground and stands out from the rest of the customary architecture styles. These sorts of homes are designed specially to protect the natural environment. The way these residences are constructed and located, it is really difficult to spot the location of the site for those who come looking for it. There are around nine earth houses with a beautiful artificial lake in the midst. In terms of insulation, these underground homes make a lot of sense. According to the architect, the aim of this project is not constructing homes on top of nature but building architecture subordinate to and integrated with nature.

Earth Houses are built on the total area of 43,055 sq ft. There are nine residences where three of the homes consist of 6 rooms, other three consist of three rooms and remaining three homes consist of seven, four and five rooms respectively. The bedroom is located at the north of the setting while the living room is present in the south. Bathrooms are constructed at the basement. The homes are insulated by a recycle foamed glass layer and to make the entire thing waterproof, root-resistant polymer bitumen is fixed to the shotcrete.
