E-stamping is a new technology that uses an electronic system to stamp the documents. It has the immense capability to replace the physical stamping process as it delivers the advantage of safety. It is also easy and absolutely tamper-free. The Ministry of Finance has appointed Stock Holding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL) as Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) for e-Stamping. Multiple states like Gujarat, NCR Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and union territories like Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Puducherry. Several documents like Conveyance, Sale agreement, Gift, Exchange of property, Partition, Power of Attorney can be e-stamped. The primary benefits of this technology includes time saving, safety and no specific denomination is needed.
