The pure 24 carat gold idol weighing 1 kilo and 300 grams of Lord Ganesha was found buried in a copper box weighing 30 kilograms in the village. Nobody knows who buried it and why. But people of this village feel themselves blessed by the Lord Ganesha. It has become the tourist attraction point in this village. Second thing you can visit here is the Sundarnarayan temple also called Rupanarayan temple. It is very old temple and said to be constructed in thirteenth century. The Idol of this temple is the best example of ancient sculuptural skills. While moving in clockwise direction 24 different Lord Vishnus are seen clearly. It is just amazing. And just at the back side of this temple the splendid clean beach and white sand invites us to witness its magnificence. It seems a semicircle beach from a distance and one can enjoy swimming here as it is a safe beach. One can enjoy natural beauty here, relax the mind in the peaceful surroundings, meditate, swim, visit the divine places and if it is not enough then can make a short trip to nearby places that include Harihareshwar and srivardhan beaches. Both these places have natural beauty in abundance and can be a perfect extention to your trip to beach. Hariherashwar is famous for its magnificent temple which has idols of Lord Trio Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh along with Devi Partvti.You should not expect five star accommodations here as one can enjoy best by living in a house of a villager to experience the actual feel of the place as they offer comfort and standard living to experience the closeness to the Diveagar’s untouched calm beauty.
