Nobody has ever imagined in the small village of Balewadi that one day it will become one of the most demanding areas of Pune having an apartment worth Rupees 1 crore and more. Some six years back when I first came to Balewadi to see one property I was so disappointed to see the place as it was just a village having some homes here and there without any proper grocery shop, no roads. I thought how can we live in a place that has nothing to offer except some views from high storied windows. I was not that convinced to buy my dream home there. But I bought the property in Balewadi as the property was in my budget and the layout I liked the most but I was worried about the location. But today I do not regret at all as the place has completely transformed from a small no roads village to real estate hot spot. There are various factors responsible for this facelift of Balewadi.Common wealth gamesThe common wealth youth games in the year 2008 have changed the looks of Balewadi completely. Because of the Games held in Balewadi it was compulsory to develop the nearby areas. In order to make it look it got plenty of developments like wide roads, street lights, cleaning of surroundings, regular bus services, etc. It helped the area look good and gave opportunity to developers to come up with new projects. The closeness to National Level Stadium is proved to be the positive point for Balewadi.Closeness to expresswayNo doubt if any part of city is close to a high way it works in favour of that area as the connectivity from other parts increases. Same thing happened in Balewadi. It is located very close to Highway and thus the development in the area is very fast.Proximity to Hinjewadi IT ParkIt is the best place to stay if you are working Hinjewadi IT Park. There is more than 50000 people work in Hinjewadi and to fulfil the demand for residential property of these working population developers came with many new residential projects and thus the prices have gone up.Well connectedIt is a place which is very well connected to Baner, Aundh, Pashan, Wakad and Hinjewadi through high way. Currently Holiday Inn, Sayaji, Sadanand Residency, VITS, Pancard Club are some of the well known names in hospitality services in close proximity of Balewadi.The entry point from MumbaiIt has become the best place to invest for Mumbai investors as the entry point from High way is almost in Balewadi as there are two ways one enters directly in Balewadi and other is from Baner road that too is very close to Balewadi.PMC bus serviceBalewadi has another advantage of transportation facility. It has regular bus service from Balewadi to other parts of city and it makes the commute easy for daily transport service users.Natural surroundingsThis area is surrounded by lush greenery and hills that gives it a perfect place for nature lovers who want a slice of nature every morning from their very own window.
