Bagul Park and Graceful Mahalaxmi Temple in Pune

Pune has changed from a peaceful city of seniors to a fast paced metro like place. Narrow market places have been replaced by ultra modern shopping malls. Now huge commercial spaces are built at the place of banyan trees. But still some places are reserved by PMC to create gardens for kids and seniors.   One such park in the city is Bagul Park.  Initially the owner of this place was now Late Vasantrao Eknath Bagul but now it is owned and managed by Pune Municipal Corporation.  It has got its name from the previous owner and thus it is called Bagul Park. This park is created for the benefit residents of the area by Pune Municipal Corporation like other gardens with jogging tracks in the city. This park is situated at the Parvati area in Pune.The 450 metre long well maintained jogging track is the main attraction of this park.   This track attracts many health enthusiasts including young, seniors as well as kids in the morning and evening. Apart from the jogging track the well groomed green lawn in the park does make the environment welcoming and rejuvenating for visitors. This lawn is serving citizens since 1998 and still looks beautiful.  This place is used for many big celebrations during festive season every year like Navratra. In the year 2000 a sports complex has also been built here to facilitate sports enthusiast and to organise various games and competitions.  I should not forget to mention the very beautiful and attractive shrine of goddess Laxmi here. A beautifully carved white stoned temple of goddess Mahalaxmi is located here. Not only the exteriors but the interiors are also heavily carved by experts and the idol of Laxmiji who is a Hindu Goddess of wealth, make you feel her presence by her smile.  If you are visiting the Bagul Park then you should not miss the blessings of goddess Laxmi.Major attractions:Laser show: Every evening the park arranges exclusive laser shows for the visitors. It one of the major attractions of the park, not only children but even adults find the laser show very entertaining.  There are two shows for half an hour each.Light and sound show:  It is one hour theme-based show that will take the visitors on the garden tour with the help of exceptional light and sound effect.
