New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is all set to clear plan to open up new areas for the housing project in the city. The DDA has decided to finalize the decision which will open up new land parcels in the city for housing projects. DDA board of directors have also decided to take suggestions from public on the DDA’s move to open up new areas for housing projects and it will finalize the plan in its next meeting.According to the current move, it this plan is cleared by the centre then it will surely amend the master plan 2021, but it will definitely boost the residential real estate development in the outer Delhi regions like Najafgarh, Burari, and Bawana etc. The plan allows the development of residential units along the corridors which are earmarked under MPD 2021 for urban extension. These corridors were meant to be part of the larger Transit Oriented Development (TOD) of the capital which was strictly stated as the non-residential corridors.The planning department officials said that DDA is close to finalizing the whole process to plan new areas for residential housing projects on the outer Delhi. The proposal has already been approved by various associated committees which reviewed it before putting it for public suggestions and objections.DDA official said that about 247 objections and suggestions have been received from the public regarding the DDA’s plan to come up with new areas for housing projects in outer Delhi regions.
