Mumbai: State information commissioner extracted an order imposing certain qualifications on obtaining building plans from the BMC. The Building plans approved by the BMC will be made available to the citizens with certain qualifications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. The order which imposed certain qualification norms to procure building plans from BMC was issued in the last month.The initial decision of imposing certain qualification to acquire building plans from BMC was taken with a view to avoid confusions and practical difficulties associated with security of building plans in Mumbai. Availability of these plans may lead to difficulties for national security or public safety hence the decision of adding qualification norms were added for RTI information about building plans.Gaikwad, state information commissioner said “the language and structure of previous orders made them look like blanket ban on disclosure of information, but it wasn’t the intention of the commission.” He also held a formal hearing followed by an appeal former central information commissioner Shailesh Gandhi. They also said that public information officers were denying information regarding the building plans under the November orders.BMC has decided to provide building plans online on an online portal where it will upload all approved building plans by civic administration to enable citizens to get information about the approvals of the construction of buildings in the city.Various experts and activist declined the permission to provide all building plans to public without any qualifications under RTI as this may lead as threat for the developers and realtors in the city like the way Maoists had misused such RTI obtained information for extortion and killing of realtors in Jharkhand.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
