Extra Property Tax to be Levied on Hoardings

Nagpur: Advertising your property will now be a costly affair owing to the new strategies implemented by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) to increase the revenue. Property owners who have been putting up their property advertisements will shell out more money towards property tax. Though the tax proposal is still under pipeline, concrete measures to implement the same are yet to take shape. Justifying their stand on the tax levied, the Corporation has sent out a strong message that the hike is not for revenue generation rather it is to keep a check on property owners who have been using their property for part commercial and part residential use.  The Corporation has been keeping track of the properties that have been showcasing their property for sale. Complete details of the property and builder are being collected by the Corporation. The Assistant Municipal Commissioners (AMC) have been issued proper directives to supervise this data collection process. The AMC’s will have to submit the complete list of hoardings in their respective zones. Property owners will then have to provide details like the number, size, period of display, location, total plot area, covered area of the hoarding to be displayed. Attested copies of the NOC certificate and allotment letter have to be submitted along with the above details.A clear study of the existing scenario reveals that around 1,000 property owners across Nagpur have put up their property advertisement in their premises itself. Tax, as of date, is charged to only the advertising agencies and not the property owners. After the implementation of the proposed tax liability, a hike of almost 10 -15% over and above the regular property tax is expected. To ensure smooth functioning, the civic bodies definitely require additional funds. The newly proposed tax structure will provide herculean financial support to the infrastructure development and enhancement work.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
