Gurgaon Set to Have 12 New Sectors

haryana-industriesChandigarh: 12 new sectors are likely to come up in Gurgaon shortly. These will include 7 residential sectors, 2 industrial sectors and 3 new small commercial belts. This was approved on the 29th of August by the state-level committee of Town and Country Planning Department, Haryana. These new sectors will come up under a Draft Development Plan for Gurgaon-Manesar Urban Complex-2013. This plan has been prepared for a projected population of 42.35 lac by 2013. According to the plan, the land use of approximately 1.179 hectares on the western side of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway has been transformed from an industrial zone to an agricultural zone. In accordance to the decision made by the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Infrastructure this has a prohibition on grant of any Change of Land Use (CLU) permission/license.Apart from these commercial, residential and infrastructural sectors, area for public, semi-public and open space zones will be reserved as well. A plan to set up a university in Sector 68 is also in progress. 215 hectares of land is being allotted for this purpose. In the same sector, 50 hectares of land has been set aside for providing affordable housing to the Lower Income Group and Middle Income Group population. All the existing dairies of the city will be shifted to the village, Dhankot. This village has approximately 50 hectares of land reserved for dairy farming.
