Delhi NCR: To keep a close watch on any kind of intrusion in the land records maintenance process, the Government of Delhi has proposed a digitization process. Digitization of land records will bring in more transparency and secure the entire process. Presently this digitization process will be introduced in the Kharkhari Nahar of South Delhi. The National Informatics Center is the backbone of this project. Software developed by NIC will be helping the process of digitization. Moreover this project will be made active in other targeted parts of Delhi as well. Digitization of records will make it easier for the property owners to trace details of their land for which information was retrieved manually till now. Apart from this changes in the ownership of land and other processes which were time consuming will now take half the actual time.Till the digitization process is implemented, recording of land details and data retrieval will be done manually.
