Kolkata: In an effort to bring in more transparency in the taxpaying process, citizens will here onwards have to ‘self-evaluate’ their property by filling in a form and submitting it to the Corporation. This initiative has been taken to encourage tax payers to voluntarily step in front and pay their property tax dues. Citizens will get an opportunity to get an insight of how the tax valuation process functions. The authorities of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) will no longer have to personally visit properties for tax evaluation. Tax payers themselves will have to come forth and settle the accruing tax amount for the current fiscal year. 10% of the property valuation will be the tax amount charges for the present financial year. This percentage will be revised every six years. The KMC is unable to clear the existing tax dues and has therefore roped in this new system to help ease the load of tax collection. Fresh tax due statements will be sent to those tax payers who have recently made modifications to their property. Thus this new scheme will ensure ambiguity and motivate tax payers to assess their own property and pay the taxes on time.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
