Indore: Indore Development Authority, the urban planning organization serving Indore Metropolitan Region of Madhya Pradesh state is planning to come up with affordable homes for citizens of lower income group. The development authority recently said that it will be constructing 5,000 residential units for the lower income group in next 3 years.As per the chairman of Indore Development Authority, with an intention to fulfill the dream of our Prime Minister, they will be building 5,000 affordable homes in urban locations while out of these, construction of 2,000 residential units has already been started around two years back.According to the officials, they are in search of suitable location for constructing the remaining 3,000 units. The chairman of the development authority said that they received a green signal from the IDA Board to build up 216 residential units for the people who belong to low income category.Apart from the construction of houses, the sources said that the Indore Development Authority will be constructing a road, MR – 4, keeping view the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. The cost of the projects expected to be Rs. 56.50 crore.Indore Development Authority is an agency under the government of Madhya Pradesh.
