With an intention to go green, Indian Green Building Council has so far registered over 3 billion sq ft of green building projects in India. This committee is expected to acquire 10 billion sq ft area to develop such projects. IGBC is a committee dedicated to promote eco-friendly projects in India. It is the part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a reputed industry body.According to Chairman of the green building council, India has till now achieved a notable milestone in eco-friendly projects due to which our country has climbed to number two spot in green building footprints all over the world. IGBC is now planning for something large and for that it will be roping in 10 billion sq ft of land till 2022.He further added saying that the increase in green building projects in our country is mainly because of the stakeholders have realized about the significance of green projects and how great business it can do.
