Delhi/NCR – The Delhi Development Authority has decided to sale 152 premium residential units present at Commonwealth Games Village through electronic auction process. The auction will take place in next month while the land owning organization has set the reserve price for 3 BHK apartments as Rs. 7 crore. The development authority is expected to gain Rs. 1,000 crore from this online sale process.Since the Delhi government had asked for 60 flats in 2012 for official housing pool, the auction was kept on hold till now. As a result, the development kept the auction on pending, however the Delhi government hasn’t acted in response.According to the Vice-chairman of DDA, they have earlier sent 2 to 3 letters to the newly-formed government. Again they are planning to send the letter asking them if they want the units. If no response comes from the government then the flats would be put on sale.The auction process will get over by the end of June. As per the officials, the government will have to make the payment for the flats in advance. Out of the 711 residential units, for the official housing pool, central government had taken 378 flats.The Delhi Development Authority for the first time has started with the e-auction process. The promotion for the process will start soon. The flat bidders will be given ample of time to register.
