Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation seems to be worried by the low collection of property tax in 2014-15 hence has decided to make changes in the online property tax system.According to the Municipal Commissioner, the current system does not provide the option where the tax payers can pay only property tax. Changes will be made in tax system as per which the property owners will be able to pay their property tax and penalty amount separately.In case of illegal constructions that are build after January 2008 are being charged double amount of property tax as penalty fees by the civic body. Eventually, the property owners end up paying three times of their property tax, yearly.According to the survey, property owners are ready to pay tax amount but not the unreasonable penalty amount. Even if the civic body gathers first the penalty amount and then the property tax, owners still don’t pay.As per the 2012 civic elections, the political parties assured the citizens that all the illegal constructions will be regularized and penalty fees will be abolished. With respect to this most of the citizens are not paying the penalty while the civic body with the current system is not able to collect the property tax separately.For the year 2014-15, the target for property tax collection is Rs. 492 crore but the department was able to accumulate only Rs. 250 crore, till date.According to the sources, the civic body must not compel the property owners to pay the penalty first and charging penalty twice the property tax fees should be eliminated.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
