Land Regularization Policy by AP Government Proves to be Unbeneficial

hyderabadHyderabad: The expectation of Andhra Pradesh state government to raise the revenue by land regularization indicates to be unprofitable. According to the sources, the district collectors have received majority of regularization applications for residential plots that sizes below 125 sq yard which as per the current scheme of government, plots of this size are free to regularize. This points out to be unbeneficial.According to the recent announcement made by the government their new land regularization scheme is hoping to bring in more revenue in form of penal cost. The state government is expecting to gather net amount of Rs. 1,000 crore by regularizing the land. However, when you see the real scenario, the situation seems to be different.A total of 7,765 applications have been received by the mandal office of Serilingampally, out of which it was identified that 7,759 residential plots fall under the plot area of 125 sq yard and below. Whereas the mandal office of Qutubullapur received an exceptional response of 23,513 applications but unfortunately only 18 applications was like that which will be able to collect penalty fees.According to the officials, Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district were expected as prime locations to collect maximum revenue as vacant land is easily available in Ranga Reddy district.
