The latest report by the globally recognized property consultant, Cushman & Wakefield states that among the prime cities in India, Bangalore is expected to witness highest office space absorption in the New Year.As per the report, in 2015, the total office space absorption in the country is anticipated to be around 36.8 million square feet (msf), while during the same phase, the supply is said to be about 46.4 msf. Bangalore is likely to observe highest space absorption of 11.1 msf while the second highest will be Delhi-NCR with office space absorption of approximately 6.8 msf.The report presented by the property consultant also suggested that due to the improved market sentiment, macro-economic scenario and political stability, as compared to 2013 and 2014, the commercial segment will be on improved position.The second half of New Year will see a lot of momentum while the trend will continue till 2016.According to the sources, office markets all over the country will fundamentally be in favor of the occupiers as the supply will remain significantly more than the demand. However, Hyderabad will be an exception, as it is the only city where demand will be more than supply.The top 8 cities on which the report was prepared was Bangalore, NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
