With the drive to identify the number of illegal constructions in the city, Pune district administration has issued notices to more than 5,000 buildings who did not have relevant documents related to construction. The residents and builders of these buildings are been asked to generate the documents to avoid further problem.The move took place in suburb locations of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area. The officials has till now surveyed 56,512 buildings, out of which 9,116 buildings possessed relevant documents whereas a total of 47,861 buildings did not have necessary documents like non-agricultural permit. There were around 1,672 buildings which were discovered to be partly illegal.The administration has decided to issue notices to these buildings residents who are looking out for additional documents. As per the sources, 5,600 notices have been generated while builders and residents of 5,100 building have already received the notices. Out of the issued notices, the administration has received response from 654 cases and data entry of more than 2,777 is done.There are around 133 teams which are gathering information about the constructions in suburbs of Pune. Data are collected of the buildings which are constructed after the year, 2009.The District Collector said that building-to-building inspection is still going on in the fringe localities that are out of authority of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad corporations.
