According to a top DDA official, the much-awaited DDA Housing Scheme 2014 draw will be shown online. The housing authority has planned to put on view the complete event on a YouTube channel. Online users can view the webcast n number of times via a YouTube channel.The Director (Systems) of Delhi Development Authority said that a meeting with vendors was organized where the vice-chairman of DDA agreed on the suggestion to webcast the housing scheme draw live.The housing scheme was closed on October 15 where it received around 8.5 lakh applications. The draw offered 25,000 flats belonging to various housing categories with a price tag of Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 1.2 crore. The housing scheme draw date is expected to November 15th 2014.Delhi-based dealers, who have earlier worked in webcasting, had approached the development authorities about the live streaming. According to a DDA official, the authority decided to present the draw on YouTube instead of their official website to avoid the chances of website crash and attract the online users on the main draw day. The proposed plan by the vendors also was cost-effective as per the DDA officials.The development authority has also decided to present a server to deal with the expected rush of applicant traffic on their official website.
