Delhi/NCR: Banks have decided to sell the DDA Housing Scheme forms even on national holidays for Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. According to the officials of Delhi Development Authority, they have asked the private as well as public banks to open their counters at the development authority headquarter on 2nd and 3rd of October, both are national holidays. Banks will continue to sell the forms as closing date of submission is drawing nearer.A senior DDA official said that they had discussion with some banks and they agreed to sell the forms on holidays. The banks decided to operate their counter and sell the housing scheme forms on authority headquarter premises. The senior official further said that not only the sale of housing scheme forms escalated but number of submission has also drastically increased as compared to previous year.One of the reputed banks who will be operating the counter at various branches of development authority and offer forms on holidays is Kotak Mahindra. According to the sources, over 16.5 lakh housing scheme forms have already been sold on the official website of DDA, bank websites, at various counters of DDA and form counters of different banks. As per the current report, 80,000 forms have already been submitted to the development authority.In the coming period of time, several lakh forms are projected to get submitted to the Delhi Development Authority. DDA is also planning to extent the closing date of submission of forms.
