DDA Restores its Website After the Crash Due to Colossal User Traffic

DDA flatsDelhi Development Authority restores its official website as the online service got crashed due to massive response from the people after the launch of the mega housing scheme.According to the top DDA officials, the housing scheme which offers 25,000 flats received an enormous 18.25 lakh hits from the people after the launch. The website got crashed when it received 5 lakh hits at the same time and was out of service for few hours. The officials further said that the online service has now being restored and the server is upgraded to manage the drastically increased user traffic.On the day of the launch itself, the scheme received 11 lakh hits. The website generally is visited by 2.5 to 3,000 users on an average hence due to the drastic load, the site got crashed.According to the Director of Systems at DDA, the homepage of the website has integrated a new link called ‘DDA Housing Scheme 2014′. It navigates the online users to the 13 enlisted banks and their URLS.  The URLs are still to be activated.The new housing scheme initiated by the development authority will offer 25,034 that would range from Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 1.2 crore. The flats belong to different categories, EWS, LIG, One-room flats, Janta flats, MIG and HIG.
