Delhi/NCR: Noida and Greater Noida, the twin cities of UP have great chances to become the first smart cities of India if the plan is executed properly. Prime Minister’s government in its first budget last month had declared to come up with 100 smart cities in our country but the chairman of Noida and Greater Noida Authorities said that 70 % of the smart city factors have already been attained by this twin cities. He also requested the employees to assist to make the cities meet the remaining parameters so that they become the first smart cities of our country.According to the twin cities authorities’ chairman, from this Independence Day, the Authority of Noida had introduced a citizen’s portal for the residents. It is a drive to make Noida a smart city in our country. As per their latest move, Noida will be receiving Ganga water supply. However, a lot much has to be done to provide convenient public transport facility and with respect to the expansion of metro line. The authorities will also be working on the plan of recycling the city garbage.He also said that, Noida is the first and only city in India which has set down sewage and drainage network in 82 villages within the region. Noida and Greater Noida also have hospitals, wide roads, metro connectivity, parks and Formula One Track.The twin cities require smart city fund since in past three decades they have already developed 70% of the facilities.
