The biggest online store of our country, Flipkart is said to lease around 152,000 sq ft area of office space in Bangalore. This ecommerce company has booked 3 commercial spaces in 3 different locations of this city.With an aim to expand its business and consolidate, Flipkart has decided to lease the spaces. The leasing deals which took place in March and April is so far the largest deal by any online merchant in India.As per the sources, in order to save the expenses, this online retailer is planning to shift its business from few of the smaller offices in Bangalore. One of the spokesperson said that the office of Flipkart will operate as its back office and the space will be utilized for developing new functions, order process, including developing new ideas.The company has booked 3 spaces which are 37,674 sq ft of space in Salarpuria Tech Point, 106,000 sq ft in Mantri Commercio and on Brigade Court, a space of 9,000 sq ft.Flipkart is India’s biggest ecommerce portal and recently it has tied up with Myntra which is a popular fashion online store. It is said to be our country’s largest joint venture and acquisition deal so far in the world of ecommerce. The companies will be working as separate bodies and will look to elevate the fashion business together.
