Noida Authority to Bring in IGBC for Green Buildings

Igbc_IndiaMost of the real estate companies have shifted their focus and are now showing interest in constructing green buildings in the city of Noida. For the upcoming eco-friendly real estate projects, Noida Authority has decided to rope in third agency that will be involved in assessing and approving of the design structures.Currently the city authority only permits real estate developers who have received certification for constructing green buildings from Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). Here onwards the authority will also be allowing construction of green building which receives certification from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). IGBC will be the third agency that will assess and give approvals for the green buildings.According to the officials, there are around 80 green buildings in Noida while 80% of the present construction is focused on eco-friendly concept.  The officials further added that the city is aiming to become a green building hub in few years, down the line. The city initiated with the green building concept in 2010 but it did not get much response from the developers.  Hence Noida Authority decided to provide extra Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of 0.5% for free to around 2 dozen builders who have planned to come up with green building projects. Developers have now started showing interest in order to get profited by the additional FAR.In past six months, Noida Authority has permitted construction layout maps for at least for over 30 green buildings under the certification of LEED or GRIHA. Now it will also allow IGBC for certification.As per a senior official, if the builder fails to acquire the approval from the green building agency then the builder may have to pay heavy amount to purchase the additional 0.5% of Floor Area Ratio.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
