Kolkata: According to the real estate investors, to make the Rajarhat New Town a striking commercial and business hub, lot of issues has to be resolved.An interactive meeting was conducted recently, where the real estate investors who have bought plots in the township in past two years, kept forth their point of view to improve the infrastructure. The investors came up with resourceful options and useful suggestions on how the infrastructure can be enhanced. One of the officials of Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (HIDCO) said that some of the investors had displayed presentations that included action plan for their projects and some issues which can be resolved. Economist and chairman of the West Bengal Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (WBIDFC) was in charge of this meeting.According to an official, among the presented investors, one of them suggested to grow more trees within the township. The nature of soil in this town is such that, dust may easily get accumulated. Hence to solve this issue, growing trees would be best solution. Some of the investors also said that the water quality as well as supply of water is a major concern in this township. However HIDCO officials assured that this issue will be resolved by this year end as they are planning to lay a pipeline from HooghlyRiver that would allow supply of water in this township. This pipeline will not only solve the water problem in this township but also for the nearby areas.
