Delay in Delivery of 40% New Residential Units in Noida

project-delayLakhs of middle class homebuyers who have invested in residential properties in Noida are facing major problem. According to the industry estimates, 50% of the 4 lakh residential units decided to be launched in Noida, Ghaziabad and Greater Noida including Greater Noida Extension have been postponed. Out of the total projects which are under-construction, around 40% of the residential development is running behind the decided time.Most of the residential projects which came up in last 4 to 5 years or even before are yet to be handed over to the homebuyers. According to the Jones Lang LaSalle CEO (operations), due to this miserable situation the buyers have lost trust on the real estate developers that they would deliver units on time, finally which has resulted in downfall of credentials.As per the figures presented by JLL, currently 2.3 lakh units, in total are under construction which comprise of 1.1 lakh residential units in Noida, in Noida extension, there are around 94,500 residential units, 24,600 in Greater Noida, including Yamuna Expressway. Out of these over, 231,956 are still under-construction, while 41% of the construction process in running behind the schedule, which has led to major delay.The buyers can do nothing but just suffer in silence. Even if the buyers go to the consumer court pleading for compensation, the builders challenge these orders and come up with strong assistance in higher courts for appeal. The buyer is found here helpless too.
