The Divisional Commissioner has ordered the Development Authority of Allahabad, the power department and the Allahabad Municipal Corporation to come together and work as a joint team to conduct an inspection to identify the illegal buildings constructed on estate lands and raze them. The joint team will also comprise of a nodal officer selected by the district magistrate.The divisional commissioner has also asked the chief engineer of the power department to verify the sales deed of the residence or land and the map approved by the Development Authority of Allahabad, before providing the electricity connection. In case, if the owner does not possess any of this documents then, the power department has been ordered, not to provide electricity connection in that particular home. The department has also been instructed to cut the electricity supply of the houses which are found to be illegally constructed. On the other hand, Allahabad Municipal Corporation has got orders, not to provide water connections to unauthorized residential units or institutions.The municipal corporation of Allahabad has been asked to bring the maps of various drains of the city and come up with an arrangement to clean the drains. In accordance with the orders of Allahabad High Court, the officers of Allahabad development authority has been asked to take photograph of the regional places that are constructed along the roadside and generate a report.
