Tata Housing Planning to Launch 13 Residential Projects for Senior Citizens

tataAfter its first retirement home project, Riva Residences in Bangalore, the real estate giant, Tata Housing has now decided to come up with 13 such housing projects in different locations of our country, exclusively for the senior citizens. This real estate branch of Tata Sons will be launching these projects in 8 more locations.According to a report presented by the Managing Director and CEO of Tata Housing, presently, around 98 million citizens in India belong to 60 and above age group and by 2030, the count is likely to get doubled. Therefore launching retirement homes would really be a better plan and feasible for realty builders. The company got a good response by the launch of its initial residential project in Bangalore; hence they are intending to come up with few more townships that would comprise of retirement homes.The company will be investing around Rs. 1,200 crore to develop 13 more projects by 2018. Citizens who are 55 and above years of age can only dwell in these housing units. The projects will be launched in prime cities like Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, National Capital Region, Ahmedabad and Kolkata. Tata Housing in total in these 13 exclusive projects will be constructing approximately, 1500 to 2000 retirement residences.70 million sq ft area development is ongoing where as more 19 million sq ft development is in pipeline.
