In the list of world’s least expensive office locations, Hyderabad holds the first position. Hyderabad has become the most affordable office location in the world. According to the renowned property consultant, DTZ , depreciation in the Rupee value as well as the fall in rentals with respect to the political issues has led Hyderabad to achieve this spot.In the DTZ’s top 10 affordable office locations list, other Indian cities like Chennai, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata also holds a spot. Chennai still holds on to its position of 3rd in the list followed by Pune at 4th and Bangalore at 5th position. In Hyderabad, the total occupancy cost as per workstation per annum was set at USD 1,250.The Indian Research Head of DTZ said that the political instability in Hyderabad has mainly affected the commercial sector which resulted in fall in demand for offices further affecting the rental values. Office rentals in this city, in 2012 were Rs. 58 per sq ft per month whereas in 2013 it dropped to Rs. 45 per sq ft per month. The tier II cities of India will continue to provide least expensive office spaces to the occupiers.Apart from this, the report also disclosed that as per their global rating, London West End and Hong Kong tops the list of the most expensive office spaces around the world.
