Five-day Camp for Property Mutation by DDA

DDA-five-day-campDelhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) held a five day camp to accelerate the process of leasehold properties to free hold properties conversion which received mixed reaction from the applicants participating in the camp. Delhi Development Authority observed a mixture of reaction among all the application which participated in the five-day camp.Applicants in the camp complained that DDA did not provide sufficient assistant during the five-day camp while some of the applicants came out of the camp with conversions deed in their hands. This five-day camp to speed up the process of conversion of properties received a good response from the applicants.The authority officials announced that the five-day camp was attended by about 500 applicants which was held at Shivir on February 17, 2014. Out of these 500 applicants, about 378 applicants were issued conversion deeds on the spot on the February 17 during five-day camp. The remaining applicants who did not get the conversions deeds had come for various inquiries about the process.The new vice-chairperson of the authority, Balvinder Kumar said that the conversion of flats from lease-hold to free-hold was on the top priority list as numerous applications were received for the same process. Applicants who came to the five-day camp had filed their application for conversion certificates months and even year ago but they couldn’t receive any conversion deeds until now. The vice-chairperson said that the delay in the process was caused by the unconsolidated records in the system.The camp commenced on February 17th and it will go on till February 22nd at the DDA’s headquarters and various areas of the city have been associated different dates to get their application processed in the camp.
