Noida: Noida authority held a meeting with residents and entrepreneurs to discuss mixed land use policy for areas within industrial and residential sectors. Earlier the government had given an approval to the mixed land use policy for specific areas in industrial and residential sectors in Noida.Panel of officials said that the proposal will be very soon forwarded to the state government for the final nod. The panel had received about 60 suggestions and objection which was discusses making it one step closer to its actual implementation.The meeting help to discuss the policy was attended by thousands of people which included office owners of theFederation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA) and Noida Enterprenuers’ Association (NEA). Whereas, Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association (FONRWA) stated that the commercialization fee formulated by authority is unreasonable and exorbitant.The proposed policy states that interested candidates having their property can be able to convert it into mixed use by paying 50 per cent of the cost difference between sectors for which they are aiming. The president of FONRWA said that the conversion cost should be 10 per cent instead of 50 per cent. He also demanded that mixed use development should allow developments of grocery shops, banks, ATMS, nursing homes etc. in residential sectors.Industrial sectors like 9 and 10 must be converted to commercial sectors as the plots are too small to develop as industrial sectors by charging respective conversion charges for owners of these plots.
