Connaught Place Slipped to 7th Position in the List of World’s Costliest Office Markets

Connaught-PlaceDelhi’s Connaught Place which was on 5th spot last year in the list of World’s costliest office markets has slipped down by two positions and now is placed on 7th. According to the reputed property consultant, CBRE, this location has observed a drop in position due to the fall in Rupee exchange value as well as the slowdown in real estate market.Bandra- Kurla Complex (BKC) of Mumbai is at 15th spot while Nariman Point is at 32nd position while last year they were at 11th and 26th position respectively. Even the ranking of these two locations have fallen as compared to last year. London Central (West End) beats Hong Kong (Central) and has topped the list of most expensive office markets. The Per Annum Occupancy Cost of Connaught Place stood at USD 156.65 per sq ft. The occupancy cost of the global markets remains high despite of the slowdown in the global market as the supply of prime office spaces is limited.Due to the central location and convenient connectivity, the Central Business District of Connaught Place continues to stay a hot destination for all the corporate dwellers.
