146 Illegal Layouts have Come Up in Tippagondanahalli Reported by BDA

BDABangalore Development Authority (BDA) recently informed the Karnataka high court that 23 villages in Tippagondanahalli reservoir sector- III location boast 146 unauthorized layouts.BDA in its previous report also confirmed that 3,506 residential properties and 482 non-residential buildings are present in this location. With court orders, BDA official’s 23 teams conducted a physical survey of these buildings for three days from December 14th.The officials also prepared a report on basis of the verification.The justice noticed that the report presented is unclear hence asked the Commissioner of BDA to file an affidavit regarding the deed. According to the information presented to the court by the counsel for BMIC Area Planning Authority, in TGR- zone III there are 54 non-residential buildings out of which 13 of them have been issued with notices.There are actually 123 villages, activist’s counsel confirmed the court. He also further grumbled that the authorities didn’t even take efforts to count the areas which were outside the BDA limits.The court was also brought to notice about 707 villages in the complete catchment zone. The court is asking for the details. The court has planned to set up a special committee headed by senior officer who will be not be lower than the post of the additional chief secretary to scrutinize the follow-up action on routine basis.All the parties have agreed upon the decision and have bought forth their suggestions.
