Bombay High Court Orders to Stop the Construction of Buildings Around Taloja Jail

bombay-HCMumbai: Recently, Bombay high court asked the state government to bring standstill to all the ongoing construction activities taking place within 500 mts of Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai. The court has ordered to stop the construction till the new policy to prohibit the development around the jail area is in place.Bench of justices have requested the inspector of Taloja jail, Cidco and revenue department of the state to conduct an inspection within a period of 3 weeks on all the under-construction structures that are constructed around the distance of 500 mts of Taloja Jail and file a report against it to the government. The justice committee has also requested the government to file a compliance report on 13th January, 2014.However the counsel of Cidco have disagreed and said the policy should be made potential to make sure that the new projects do not attain permission for the development or else there would be overflow of petitions in the court against the policy.The Maharashtra state home department on 4th December has introduced a new policy to stop the progress of construction work within 500 m of the prisons.One of the accused of the Malegaon blast case had written a letter to the High Court stating the concerns regarding the existing and upcoming high-rise towers that can create threats to the inmates in jail. The court has transformed the letter into a suo motu petition and has appointed an advocate as friend of court to assist in the case.  The state has been asked to inform that what safety measures are planned for Arthur Road jail, Mumbai and Taloja jail, Navi Mumbai.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
