Bangalore: Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has decided to stop giving No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) for residential projects situated in BBMP limits. The decision of the BWSSB has affected the construction industry at large as the NOC from the board is mandatory for all the constructions in the city. The board stated that the decision has been taken as many builders have failed to ensure a viable water source to sustain the inhabitants. To make things better for the inhabitants, the decision of not issuing the NOCs to constructions has been taken so that builders would consider it mandatory making sure that they procure NOC by following certain associated provisions. In the absence of NOCs from BWSSB, the projects will not be able to get the required clearance from the environmental authority, without which the construction of projects can’t be commenced. About 20 mega projects having their completion dates in 2014 have been abandoned and about 6 projects are put on hold on the background of no NOCs.Chief Minister of the state had earlier said that projects which do not have provision for a viable water resource would not be granted permission for the construction. Following the directives of CM, the BWSSB has decided to act on the issue by taking the decision of not granting the permission to such constructions.BWSSB officials said that the board has decided to issue permits for the construction of projects which will ensure that they have a viable water source. The water sources which would be counted as a viable water source includes Cauvery water, bore wells or any other water source which come in the vicinity of the construction.Citizens and activists have welcomed the BWSSB’s decision, saying that it would help numerous inhabitants to get a viable water supply in their vicinity.займ на карту без отказов круглосуточновзять кредит онлайн
