Delhi/NCR: This year there will be more sparks in Diwali celebration of Noida as the city authority has planned to come up with 866 government flats for economically weaker section of the society, lower income group, Middle Income Group (MIG) and also the Higher Income Group (HIG). According to a senior official of Noida Authority, in Sector 55, 66, 71, 73, 93, 110 and 135, around 600 flats belong to Lower Income Group (LIG) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).In 2006-07, the authority had launched a similar residential flats scheme. A survey had been conducted from past one month to check the unallocated flats which has not been used for years. One of the official said that the flats rates has not been finalized yet but it would certainly be cheaper as compared to current market rates. He further said that a file has been submitted to the finance department to decide the flat rates.The Deputy CEO of Noida Authority said that the scheme will primarily focus on EWS and LIG category flats. Hence there would be few of MIG and HIG flats, the number of EWS and LIG flats would be higher. The officials would soon come up with a date on which the homebuyers can purchase the forms. The Deputy CEO also said that flats will be allotted on the basis of lucky draws in Diwali.The Authority has planned to come up with one more scheme that would launch 501 shops in Transport Nagar Project located in Sector 69. The scheme was actually decided to be launched on 15th October but due to some issues, it got delayed.
